Overview of Position:

The Executive Director of HTSCC occupies a high-profile position within the community. S/he needs to fully realize the potential of the Board’s enormous talent and contacts in order to further the agency’s mission. The ED currently supervises 6 ½ staff including Director of Finance, Bookkeeper, Development Manager, 2 Program Managers, administrative support person, and ½ time Senior Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

Working with the high-profile Board, the ED will lead the agency with a unified vision while overseeing all administrative operations including community outreach, media relations, fund development, policy advocacy, financial management, strategic planning, and personnel management. S/he will provide leadership and vision, and position the agency as a vital force within the community. Having had experience in securing public sector/ foundation/ corporate funding would prove very beneficial.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in board and staff development, as well as experience as a leader in community outreach and multi-constituency collaboration. S/he will balance excellent business practices with HTSCC’s vision and mission. S/he will be both “big picture” and, administratively, “hands-on”.
S/he will have a sense of humor, and a “jack/jill of all trades” mentality, enabling him/her to perform routine administrative as well as high level activities.
