NATIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING WEEK
June 5 - 13, 2004

Silicon Valley celebrates National Affordable Housing Week with activities that will educate, activate and motivate the entire community around the issue of affordable housing. Planned events will help promote awareness of the challenges our community faces in creating balanced and affordable communities - and will highlight the remarkable successes we've achieved in Silicon Valley.

Exhibits: This affordable housing exhibit will highlight high quality affordable housing development and the importance of all types of affordable housing throughout Santa Clara County.

Mountain View Affordable Housing Tour: A tour of affordable housing developments in Mountain View, followed by a reception. This event is by invitation only.

Home Ownership Seminars: Six agencies will sponsor 23 free home ownership seminars for first-time homebuyers of all income levels at various locations throughout the week.

Accessing Affordable Rental Housing Workshops: Local agencies are holding 6 workshops covering issues pertinent to both property owners and tenants in accessing affordable rental housing.
